Week Eleven of the Social Media Fantasy Football League (#SMFFL) season is complete, bringing us to the last quarter of the season.
Munoz Mustache Club and Mzinga Maurauders have climbed steadily out of the bottom of the league barrel and are positioned to play for the championship. The top four teams get to play for it and we have three weeks left to go.
As football fans know, winning the regular season doesn't mean too much unless you can close the deal in the playoffs. Even if you go undefeated.
Our current standings:
- Little Birds (Jeremiah Owyang), 9-2.
- Hard Knox Life (Dave Knox), 8-3.
- The Beasties (Craig Daitch), 7-4.
- Mzinga Maurauders (Aaron Strout), 6-5.
- Munoz Mustache Club (Dan Cordella), 6-5.
- Stillers (Jackie Huba), 5-5-1.
- Mosi Tatupu's Mullet (Adam Cohen), 5-5-1.
- Purple Pistachios (Laura "Pistachio" Fitton), 5-5-1.
- The Team With No Name (me), 5-6.
- The Viral Gardeners (Mack Collier), 4-6-1.
- Mustangs (Scott Monty), 3-8.
- Favre Beans (Joseph Jaffe), 1-10.
Just like NFL teams, some SMFFL teams are in must-win mode at this point. The only team eliminated from contention is Jaffe's Favre Beans. Mathematically, everyone else still has a shot...
Next update at the end of the regular season. Your trash talk is appreciated, as always.
I must apologize to you and the rest of the league as I really have not being able to do a damn thing with respect to this Fantasy League.
I don't even deserve my one win.
I haven't had the time to follow this (or follow through); in fact I haven't logged in once to even look at my team. I knew I was going to be busy...but I also just didn't know enough about Football to make smart decisions about trades, team lineups, strategy etc.
Anyway, enough excuses. I just wanted to say sorry and that I'll be sticking to Fantasy Baseball where I reign supreme.

Mustangs would relish the opportunity to play spoiler against the plateauing Munoz Moustache club.

Big game this week as the #1 and #2 play each other in Week 12. I hope to avenge my earlier season loss to Jeremiah
