Departing from marketing and advertising content…October was a good month to be Peter Kim. Some highlights:
- Won Forrester’s "best research" award for Q3 2006: Reinventing The Marketing Organization
- Spent a great long weekend in Burlington and Montreal
- Facilitated some great sessions at Forrester’s Consumer Forum, including a discussion with Crispin Porter + Bogusky’s Jeff Hicks and a panel on word-of-mouth marketing
- Despite being on a plane at the time, ended up with a pretty respectable fantasy basketball draft
- Delivered 6 speeches and 3 webinars; was in New York every week this month (!)
- Got a chance to put some faces to names, like Marianne Richmond, Amanda Van Nuys, and Dan Cordella (and of course David Armano, who I had previously met during his Digitas Blog Tour)
- Joined a bunch of random groups on Facebook and visiting Philadelphia this weekend for Homecoming
November will be filled with travel, visiting Nokia in Espoo, speaking during Forrester’s Consumer Marketing Forum EMEA in London, and presenting during the AMA’s Mplanet event in Orlando. Looking forward to meeting more fellow bloggers in the near future…
