Dachis Group acquires Powered

Dachis Group has acquired Powered.

In the past 2.5 years, Dachis Group introduced the concept of social business design to the world and we’ve grown our business around it. As we look forward to 2011, Dachis Group is now the largest Social Business consultancy in the world.

Social business draws on many disciplines. We are composed of Enterprise 2.0 thought leaders including Dion Hinchcliffe, engaging with practitioners from the 2.0 Adoption Council, and bringing technology to life through Headshift. We draw upon the visual thinking capabilities of XPLANE and formulate business strategy through the business unit I’ve grown by hand since our beginning.

We are seeing the demand for strategy formulation transition as expected into a need for customer engagement. In response, we employ the largest group of Facebook Preferred Developer Consultants in the world. You should see the awesome work that Archrival and Stuzo have been producing for years.

And now, we add the collective talent of Powered to our company. This includes the companies formerly known as crayon, Drillteam, and StepChange. In total, we will have over 200 professionals located in ten cities around the world.

Looking forward to engaging with you – as a client, employee, partner, competitor, friend, fan, or otherwise – in 2011.

  1. Congrats Peter – certainly big news to say the least. To me this looks like it will create a company bigger than the sum of the parts. Looking forward to seeing what you guys do in 2011 and all the best.

  2. What a great combination, even more natural then chocolate and peanut butter. As I tweeted to Jeff, I get to say i called this one when I hired both of you — it was so clear you each had such strength and talent and focus, that when brought together shoould create an organization that is unassailable. Congrats to all you, what a great holiday present!!

  3. This is very impressive. That’s a lot of fire power for sure. One question though, is it really an acquisition if both companies are backed by the same VC? 😉 Either way, congrats. It’s been amazing to watch Dachis grow.
