The fifth person I followed on Twitter was Jeremiah Owyang.
Jeremiah appeared on my radar when he was working at PodTech and making a name for himself in the burgeoning social media space. Charlene Li invited him to a Forrester workshop we were conducting at the Hyatt Embarcadero and he joined us as an analyst soon thereafter.
I worked with Jeremiah at Forrester for a couple years; he was on the west coast and I was on the east coast. We encountered identity management issues once in a while when attending the same Forrester Forums. Eventually, Jeremiah left Forrester to join Altimeter Group. After four years building that firm, he’s moving on to start his own Collaborative Economy venture called Crowd Companies.
